Paul Versluis has served as minister at Shalom since 2000. This is his fourth pastorate in the Mennonite church, following Maple Grove Mennonite, New Wilmington Pa [1984-2993], Foundation Mennonite Church, Erie Pa. [1993-1996], and Prince of Peace Mennonite church, Corvallis Or. [1996-2001]. He served as an elder in an intentional Christian community in Menominee Mi. [1974-1983]. He holds a master of divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a doctor of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Paul is married to Joy, and they are parents to five adult children: Anna, Bethany, Sara, Rachel and Paul. Paul enjoys working as a part time carpenter and spiritual director, reading, study, hiking, fishing and hunting. He has served on the steering committee of the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice, the Interfaith and Life Sciences Life Ethics Forum, and the Interfaith Round Table of Washtenaw Country. |
